Shape Corp. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Guaresimo as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer. Guaresimo, a seasoned automotive industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, brings a wealth of knowledge, deep industry insights, and a people-first leadership style to his new role.
Born and raised in Michigan, Guaresimo’s passion for mechanical engineering was instilled in him from an early age. After earning his degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, he joined American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM), where he held various roles from resident product engineer to Vice President of Operations.
Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Guaresimo’s ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments, coupled with his deep love for the shop floor, has consistently enabled him to drive positive results across varied geographical locations. His leadership style—understanding the people, their motivations, and the local culture—is a testament to his commitment to operational excellence.
