CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Step into possibilities with Shape’s Vet Explorer program. Gain an understanding of the manufacturing career paths Shape offers with hands-on training and application. The 10 week program introduces you to the fundamentals of Shape, roll forming and welding. Following the initial coaching, you have the opportunity to choose the specific path you want to explore in-depth.
TEAM MEMBER SUPPORT
Transition isn’t always easy and team member support can ease challenges. The veteran mentor program partners experienced Shape team members with veterans to provide an immersive and collaborative training experience.
INTERNAL NETWORK
A community of veterans exists within the Shape Family, available for support and collaboration. The Shape Veterans Group unites to develop internal veteran programs, brainstorm on opportunities to apply relatable military talent, and engage in community service, including providing resources and volunteering.
ENGAGING OUTSIDE OF OUR WALLS
Shape aims to be a community partner through various programs, initiatives and volunteering, including engaging with our local veterans. We’re traveling the country to let you know Shape has employment opportunities. Locally, we’re involved with the Veterans Community Action Team in Kalamazoo, Lansing and Grand Rapids. In 2016, we were honored to be named a bronze level veteran-friendly employer by the Michigan Veterans Affair Agency. REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN THE SHAPE FAMILY
- High School diploma or GED
- Specific jobs require one year of manufacturing experience. Welding and/or roll forming experience is a plus.
